Wanna see wildlife? Don't have much time? Well, we've got the trip for you - perfect for a long weekend, or as an extension to any trips you already have planned to India.

Our power wildlife photography trip takes you to either Corbett NP, or Ranthambhore NP - two beautiful wildlife sanctuaries with excellent game populations.

TRIP OBJECTIVES AND DATES

Wildlife photography, wildlife photography and more wildlife photography. Trips can be run at any time of the year, except the monsoons (July - September).

PRE-REQUISITES

None. An interest in wildlife and a willingness to wait (or search) for the right shot go a long way towards getting that spectacular shot.

RECOMMENDED GEAR

For mammals, a fast lens reaching up to 300mm would be ideal. Also, a zoom is very handy in Indian conditions, where subject proximity can vary (thus necessitating a wide variety of focal lengths) and the dust factor makes it preferable to minimize lens swapping. For birding, you'll need your longest lens - just like anywhere else. Vandit shoots with a 100-400 IS as his primarily mammal lens, and a 500/4 as his bird lens. Aditya shoots mammals with a 120-300/2.8

A tripod is not needed - we'll be on a jeep for most of our game viewing, and a monopod or beanbag is a better alternative. If you need a tripod for occasional use, you can borrow one of ours (although you may want to bring your ballhead). We also stock beanbags for use during the trip.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Early AM departure from New Delhi towards park of choice. Depending on time of arrival, we will do an afternoon game drive in the park. (L, D)

Day 2: 2 game drives in the park (B, L, D)

Day 3: 2 game drives in the park (B, L, D)

Day 4: Morning game drive in the park, followed by departure back for Delhi (B, L)

For trips to Ranthambhore, a shorter 3-day variation is also possible. Due to the longer travelling time, a 3-day trip is not recommended for Corbett.

GENERAL NOTES

This is a wildlife photography trip, and we assume that you are happy to rise early and stay in the park late in order to get good shots. Unless you tell us otherwise, maximizing your time in the park is our primary goal.

Also, do note that in a shorter trip, it is harder to provide assurances that you'll see a tiger. We make every effort to assure you of a sighting, ranging from using only the best drivers/guides, ensuring we get the most productive game viewing routes and so on.

PRICES

The all-inclusive price for te 4-day tour is as follows:

• 1 person: Rs 60,000
• 2-4 people: Rs 35,000
• 5 or more people: Rs 25,000

Prices include accommodations, meals, game viewing in private jeep, services of a top-quality tracker/guide, transfers to and from New Delhi and drinking water. Not included are beverages, laundry, tips, travel costs to Delhi, cost of film or developing and personal expenses.

Bookings are not confirmed until we receive a 20% deposit. We accept payment via wire transfers or via Paypal. The balance is due 45 days before the trip.

If cancelling before 45 days, the full sum will be refunded (minus the 3% transaction fee, if you have paid using a credit card via Paypal). For cancellations between 15-45 days from the trip date, we levy a 25% cancellation charge. For cancellations within 15 days of the trip date, the cancellation charge is up to 75%.
