Mating eephants, Kruger NP

If I could spend an entire month shooting elephants, I wouldn't get tired. They are always doing interesting things. And this, I'd reckon, is probably as interesting as it gets (for them, anyway!).

The first time I saw elephants mating in the water was in Matusadonha NP, in mid-day light and against a bright reflective light. 400mm and Velvia gave me a black spot on a silver background.

This time, at Siloweni dam, the light wasn't much better. But I had 2 advantages: I had a lot more focal length to work with, and I was shooting RAW.
