Martial eagles are impressive birds, growing to almost a meter in size. With enough power to kill a baby antelope, these powerful raptors are the kings of the African skies.

I'll admit right away - as classic portraits go, this isn't the greatest. The light is harsh, and that shadow across the bird's breast is distracting. But I like the expression on the face of this mighty raptor. Is he singing opera? Is he yawning? Is he yelling at the neighboring kids to keep it down?
